496 posts · Joined 2010. #6 · Jul 12, 2017. There was an old thread with many transmission failures on the XP900. Many were overfilling to a total of 2 qts to try to stop bearings from failing. Some were filling through the sensor toward the top of transmission. Just switched mine from the Polaris PS-4 oil to the AMSOIL ATV/UTV 5W-50 Oil. I like that it is the recommended viscosity and no warranty concerns since I am outside of that. Plus, Polaris doesn't make the oil that's for sure. ^^Have seen a lot of people using T-6.

Polaris oil is fine its not going to kill your engine hahaha BUT its also overpriced for what is in the bottle. Many people here run Mobil 0-40 full synthetic and love it.
