May 15, 2022I was originally alch/herb on my shaman and dropped it for skinning/lw for ele in TBC. I've since switched back to alch/herb because the netherstrike set will likely be replaced pretty quickly in tbc and with the looming risk of drums being better, the overall viability of LW is a little more dubious, whereas the outlook for alch/herb will always be excellent. There is a very very good video guide on the elemental shaman, from stats, rotation, gear, totems the works. Key thing I would offer here is to take what people say on here with a grain of salt. Not all advice is good for your particular situation or character. For example, the best rotation is 3xLB and 1xCL. Hey I’d just like to second the above comment, Lightning Capacitor is your single biggest DPS upgrade in TBC as an ele shaman. To the point where it is BiS at least for PvE for the whole game. Basically every 3 Frits equals a free lightning bolt which may not seem that great in pvp but that extra 800 dmg is usually enough to out dmg a casted ...
