Hitch rack has the bikes sticking out the sides a decent amount. Roof rack over the bed still has the bike sticking up a ton but at least it’s facing into the wind. We will see! I just used the pad for two 120 mile round trips in the mountains on some winding roads and had no issues with the strap coming loose on the bike.
