The only one I've bought a 'normal' version of and re-bought was Dr. Strangelove, and the Criterion-only extras are definitely worth the purchase. The masters are pretty indistinguishable in my estimation - both are excellent. The film has garnered such a praise and my expectation w Criterion to release John Sayles' 'Matewan' and 'The Secret of Roan Inish'. Surprised that Sayles hasn't been in the Collection until now, considering he was a major indie voice in the 80's and 90's. Lone Star and The Return of the Secaucus 7 would make fine additions to the collection (or any good blu-ray label really) Matewan sounds interesting! i wouldn’t say $56 for 17 hours of The Return is expensive, espe12 votes, 12 comments.
